A former Commerce Department official is taking his experience as a top international trade law enforcer to King & Spalding as the firm prepares for anticipated demand amid "the importance that trade will play” with the incoming administration.

Ryan Majerus joined the Am Law 50 firm Monday on its international trade team and its government matters and regulation practice group after 14 years with various federal agencies—including the last year as the acting assistant secretary for enforcement and compliance at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
