Amid negotiations to downsize its lease, Epstein Becker & Green has been sued by its landlord for $855,000 in unpaid rent for its Buckhead office. The firm is one of many whose shrinkage during the recession left it with excess office space.

The landlord, Behringer Harvard, filed suit against Epstein Becker on June 13 in Fulton County Superior Court, saying the firm has made partial rent payments since January. The landlord sued for breach of lease and asked for an accounting of the tenant’s assets as well as attorney fees. Epstein Becker has not yet filed an answer to the complaint.
