Georgia’s Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted a short list of four nominees, culled from 31 applications, for Gov. Nathan Deal’s consideration to fill the upcoming vacancy in the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit.

The spot on the DeKalb County bench arose when longtime Superior Court Judge Michael E. Hancock announced his resignation planned for the end of this month. Deal’s office said interviews for the four nominees are scheduled for Feb. 16.
