Following a hard-fought seven-day, three-way trial, a Fulton County jury reached a what several lawyers called “a compromise verdict” and awarded $350,000 to a woman who said she was brutally raped and robbed at the Cotton Mill Lofts in Cabbagetown in 2004.

Jurors held the woman’s attacker and property management company Aderhold Properties Inc. jointly liable for the attack. But they cleared the lofts’ security company, Cognisa Security Inc., of any responsibility and ruled that it had no obligation to indemnify Aderhold for its defense.
