Georgia solicitors and victim advocates are pushing a bill in the General Assembly that would end the state’s practice of allowing someone not to testify in a domestic violence case against her spouse.
House Bill 711 also creates a conditional privilege by which workers at a battered women’s shelter, for example, may not have to testify about what their clients have said.
