Four of the announced candidates for the seat of retiring Gwinnett County State Court Judge Robert W. Mock Sr. will be making their first bids for elected office. But a fifth hopeful is a judicial campaign veteran eyeing a return to a post he vacated 25 years ago.
“I’m basically looking at getting my old job back,” said Richard T. Winegarden, who served on the State Court and then spent more than 20 years on the Superior Court before being voted out of office in 2008.
