Parties in a car accident case who were once only $7,000 apart in settlement negotiations are now fighting over a $253,000 verdict delivered in Bibb County State Court.

On one side is a Macon firefighter whose pickup truck was hit by an uninsured motorist. On the other side is State Farm, which carried the firefighter’s uninsured motorist coverage and is appealing.
