Four North Georgia men accused of planning armed attacks on government buildings and federal employees in Atlanta were inspired by an online novel in which federal prosecutors and other government attorneys are slain, according to an FBI affidavit.
The online novel, “Absolved,” was written by Mike Vanderboegh, an Alabama blogger and self-described member of an Alabama militia who has appeared on Fox News to offer commentary on the ATF’s “Fast and Furious” Mexican gun-smuggling operation that is now the subject of a Congressional inquiry.
