Georgia legislators cut funding for agencies across the board from the upcoming budget in an attempt to dig the state out of a financial hole, but the judicial branch was spared the brunt of the burden.

The $18.3 billion budget for fiscal year 2012, which runs from July 1 of this year to June 30, 2012, cuts $210,753 in personnel and operations from the state Court of Appeals but adds $102,750 for e-filing software development.
