If not for the late night hours and continuous travel, Fulton County Juvenile Court Associate Judge James T. Barfield III might have accompanied singer Ronnie Milsap to Lake Tahoe in the late 1960s when Milsap began appearing on the Playboy nightclub circuit.

“I played the Playboy Club in downtown Atlanta with him, and we were there until 3 a.m.” recalled Barfield. “He went on to Lake Tahoe, and I didn’t go. It was just too much of a grind.”
