Sarah J. Hawk, whom Fisher & Phillips recruited three years ago to build its immigration practice, has left for another labor and employment firm, Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, which she joined as a shareholder.

Hawk said she was attracted by the larger practice at Ogletree, which has 29 immigration lawyers, mostly located in Raleigh, N.C.; Atlanta; Denver; and Columbia, S.C. Ogletree’s global platform was another draw, she said. Through a joint venture with immigration consultancy Emigra, Emigra Ogletree Worldwide handles outbound immigration work for workers deployed to other countries.
