A family-owned bottling company’s lawsuit has prompted a Massachusetts federal judge to enter a preliminary injunction against PepsiCo Inc. The injunction bars PepsiCo from using 10 variations on the phrase “Polar Shock” in New York and New England.

District Judge Dennis Saylor IV of the District of Massachusetts in Worcester issued the injunction on April 28 in Polar Corp. v. PepsiCo.
