More than $400,000 in money left over from a class action settlement in Georgia’s Middle District federal court will be donated to the Georgia Legal Services Program, said an attorney representing the plaintiffs in the case.

James W. Hurt Jr. of Hurt, Stolz & Cromwell in Athens said he has been notified by federal court officials that about $466,000 remains in a class action fund associated with a consumer protection case his firm litigated before U.S. District Court Judge Clay D. Land.
