By arguing that their opponent in a multimillion-dollar wrongful termination battle is a hypocrite, lawyers for the DeKalb County School District convinced a judge on Tuesday to let them have some of the documents they are seeking in a protracted, many-layered discovery dispute.
At issue are claims by Heery International Inc. that it lost contracts with the DeKalb school system because the company got in the way of school officials who wanted to funnel lucrative contracts to friends and family. Four DeKalb school officials are facing criminal corruption charges relating to construction contracts.
