The sprawling legal fight between the DeKalb County school system and its former construction management company has come to this: Lawyers for the contractor want to depose lawyers for the school district.

The ensuing debate over attorney-client privilege is just the latest round of squabbling in the evidence-gathering process as the suit and countersuit worth up to $100 million grinds along in DeKalb County Superior Court. Judge Clarence F. Seeliger has already heard so many motions on the issue that he last week barred parties from filing more until the current set has been resolved.
