Criminal and civil matters are about to conclude this week-and another case is beginning-surrounding a contract nurse anesthetist accused of sexually assaulting unconscious women patients in operating rooms.

Cobb County Superior Court Judge Reuben M. Green has scheduled a stipulated bench trial at 8:30 a.m. Monday for Paul Patrick Serdula, a nurse anesthetist accused of sexual assault against patients, according to Green’s staff attorney, A. Lee Fudger. That means the defendant will agree to certain facts and give up his right to a trial by jury, but will reserve the right to appeal.
