A committee of the American Bar Association is vetting U.S. Magistrate Judge Linda T. Walker as a possible nominee for one of four vacant federal judgeships in the Northern District of Georgia, said a former president of the Gate City Bar Association who was a member of U.S. Sen. Sam Nunn’s judicial review committee in 1978.

Atlanta attorney Antonio L. Thomas said a member of the ABA’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary who represents the 11th U.S. Circuit called asking for his opinion about a potential Walker nomination.
