Two women, one of whom was fired and the other demoted after they reported evidence of wrongdoing within the Fulton County government, have filed whistleblower suits claiming they are the victims of a politically motivated, election-year cover-up.
The complaints by former Deputy County Manager Gwendolyn Warren and former Office of Professional Standards investigator Maria Colon say their investigations were short-circuited by the county’s Board of Commissioners, who ignored their findings and strong-armed County Manager Zachary Williams to abolish the professional standards office entirely.
