An Atlanta securities attorney is imprisoned in North Carolina after a federal jury in Raleigh convicted him last week of conspiracy, mail fraud and the sale of unregistered securities.

The jury convicted attorney Gregory Bartko on Nov. 18 after a 12-day trial during which Bartko took the witness stand on his own behalf and testified for more than seven hours, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Bartko faces a maximum 90-year sentence on the charges.
