Thirteen new legislators under the Gold Dome next year will be lawyers, with the rookies coming from a range of practice areas.

One practices securities litigation at a large firm. Another is a former federal prosecutor who’s now a partner at a large firm. There also is an in-house corporate counsel, a former magistrate court judge, a human resources director and a host of small-town solo practitioners and small-firm lawyers.
