Sam Olens, who won a resounding election for attorney general, said Wednesday he plans to meet “as soon as possible” with the man he will replace, Thurbert E. Baker, and with Baker’s top deputy.
Olens declined to reveal his plans for staffing the state Law Department, but he reiterated some of his campaign themes when asked how he plans to run the 130-lawyer office. Olens said he wants to personally join the litigation filed against the federal health care law, target public corruption and take a high-profile role in the tri-state water litigation.
