Russell D. Waldon won a defense verdict in Fulton County Superior Court Sept. 10 in what appeared to be a challenging case: His client admitted causing the car crash for which the plaintiff’s lawyer asked the jury for nearly $1 million for pain, suffering, permanent injury and two surgeries resulting in $62,000 in medical expenses.

“Our client was clearly at fault for the accident,” said Waldon, who practices law at Harper, Waldon & Craig. The defense, he added, was that the plaintiff’s injuries were pre-existing and could not have been caused by the low-speed rear-end collision that occurred on the evening of March 25, 2008 in Roswell.
