Georgia’s next attorney general will have to decide to what extent his office becomes involved in the high-profile investigation of the Atlanta and Dougherty County schools over allegations of teacher and administrator cheating on standardized tests.

Both Ken Hodges and Sam Olens said they would pursue criminal charges against teachers or principals if the results of the probe warrant them, even though such a move might not be politically popular.
