The next time you buy a plastic-wrapped tray of tomatoes or a packet of cold cuts at the grocery store, you might be picking up a package produced by a joint venture Seyfarth Shaw’s Louann Bronstein helped put together.
Bronstein represented the Ballground, Ga.-based arm of Spanish company ULMA Packaging Systems Inc. when it joined forces with Easton, Mass.-based Harpak Inc. Both companies are in the packaging industry: ULMA designs and produces packaging equipment that creates, for example, the blister packs that hold allergy pills or the shrink wrap covering steaks. Harpak distributes packaging machines that focus on getting the product into the package and then sealing it.
