Neither side of a trade dress case is happy with a federal judge’s order that a corporate plaintiff and its attorneys who acted with “dishonesty” and in “bad faith” pay the defendant companies roughly $379,000 in sanctions.

On the plaintiff’s side, Cary Ichter-alleged by Judge Charles A. Pannell Jr. to have “violated the integrity of the judicial system”-already has filed a notice of appeal to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. John H. Horne, partner-in-charge of the Atlanta office of Adorno & Yoss, said on Monday that his firm and Ichter’s co-counsel, Guy H. Weiss, would file a notice of appeal later that day.
