Word of the good deals in Atlanta’s commercial real estate market seems to be drifting through the balmy air. That’s partly why so many law firms have been arriving at Doug Guedry’s door, inquiring about space in a new high-rise building he leases.

“They walk building to building to see the properties,” he says. It’s a pattern the leasing agent has noticed escalate since spring. “It was slow last year, and I’ve seen it pick up tremendously. It’s amazing to see that much activity. I’m not sure if people are feeling better or we’ve hit bottom and they want to get space quickly” before the market tightens, says Guedry, vice president of office leasing for Daniel Corp., a key player in several law firm moves.
