The newest member of the state Supreme Court will have two challengers in this year’s elections, and numerous lawyers signed up to run for open seats on the state Court of Appeals and Fulton County Superior Court. Qualifying ended at noon Friday.
Georgia Supreme Court Justice David E. Nahmias will face challenges from Atlanta litigator L. Matt Wilson and Lawrenceville divorce attorney Tamela L. Adkins, according to the Secretary of State’s election qualifying website. Adkins unsuccessfully ran for the state Court of Appeals in 2008.
