The bitterly contested Democratic primary for attorney general has featured a thorough going-over of candidate Robert B. Teilhet’s resume. His opponent, former Albany District Attorney Kenneth B. Hodges III, claims that Teilhet’s courtroom experience is paltry compared to the hundreds of cases that he has litigated before judges and juries.

Teilhet has responded with a two-pronged answer. First, he says his experience in the areas of workers’ compensation and insurance defense is more relevant to the duties of the attorney general than being a district attorney. Second, he says his eight years as a state representative for Cobb County in the Legislature puts him in the same category as outgoing AG Thurbert E. Baker.
