A pair of law firms are fighting over a $1 million contingency fee from a suit in which a lawyer started working on the case at one firm but completed it at a second.

The second firm, the Kopelman Sitton Law Group, is winning the fight so far. On July 9, a Fulton County jury awarded the first firm, Martin & Jones, only $20,750.
