In a market largely bereft of real estate deals, federal stimulus programs are creating work for dirt lawyers-and tax and bond counsel, too.
Althea J.K. Broughton of Arnall Golden Gregory’s real estate practice is one of those lawyers. Her team recently closed two transactions for multifamily affordable housing, one in the city of Decatur, the other in Union City. Both deals involved a complex mix of funding sources and took more than a year to complete.
