U.S. District Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr. on Wednesday took a pass on commenting on legislation awaiting Gov. Sonny Perdue’s signature that could affect the city of Atlanta’s sewer overhaul, which the judge oversees as part of a 1998 consent decree in a suit against the city by an environmental group.

In a brief status conference, Thrash also did not rule on Atlanta’s request for a 15-year extension to his deadline to fix its sewers.
