The Senate Republican whip has proposed cutting 19 superior court judges, including four in Fulton County, saying the move could save the state up to $14 million.
Senate Bill 485, authored by Sen. Mitch Seabaugh, R-Sharpsburg, would reduce the number of judges from 205 to 186. Cobb, DeKalb and Gwinnett Superior Courts would each lose one judge.
