In eight years on the bench, Cobb County State Court Judge David P. Darden has drawn from lessons learned in his previous 20 years as a private attorney.

“As a judge, I want to remember what it’s like to practice law,” Darden said during a recent conversation in his chambers. “It’s a very difficult, stressful job. I want to acknowledge that, and I don’t want to add to the difficulty.”
