Comparing a stay in the hospital to a five-star hotel may seem like an oxymoron, but Atlantans have a couple of options to recuperate in luxury-Piedmont Hospital’s William C. Waters III M.D. Pavilion and Emory University Hospital’s John W. Rollins Pavilion. Both offer amenities unheard of in standard hospital rooms.

Instead of institutional green, the suites in both facilities are appointed with handsome cherry furnishings, deluxe bedding and premium towels. Bathrooms are similar to those found on the concierge level of a fine hotel. Gift baskets geared to each patient add to the pampered feel and contain all the necessary accoutrements, including Wi-Fi and a fax machine. A concierge is on call to help keep busy attorneys, physicians and executives connected to their offices, families and friends.
