Averting widespread layoffs that judges said would cripple the county’s court system, DeKalb County officials have restored about $5 million initially slated to be slashed from key parts of the county’s legal establishments.
The decision is a win for the DeKalb bench, which launched a campaign to save court funds by attending budget meetings and public hearings to argue their points.
