Debts carried by the state’s Supreme Court and Superior Courts from fiscal year 2009 to this year revealed major deficiencies in the courts’ budget procedures, the state auditor has reported.

Last week’s report by State Auditor Russell Hinton said that the Supreme Court carried a debt of $182,675 into the current fiscal year, while the Superior Courts carried $373,915.
