By a 97-0 vote, the U.S. Senate on Wednesday confirmed the nomination of U.S. District Judge Beverly B. Martin to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta.

Martin, whom President Barack Obama nominated to the appellate court last June, enjoyed the support of Georgia’s two Republican Senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, who each spoke on her behalf.
