I keep waiting for one of the Big Law firms out there to make the announcement: “Beginning Jan. 1, 2010, Big Law will be revamping its business model and getting leaner and meaner in response to economic realities, client demands and a serious gut-check.”

Who will be the first to “go rogue” and roll out a new business model that is not dependant on Cogs billing more hours at higher rates Who will be bold enough to admit the system is broken, encourages inefficiency and is not just in a temporary lull
