There will be an open race this year for the seat on the DeKalb County Superior Court occupied by Judge Robert J. Castellani. On Tuesday he said he will leave the bench when his term expires at the end of this year.

“My decision not to seek another term does not mean I intend to ‘retire,’ whatever that word means,” Castellani said in a press release. “This is just a time to switch gears and see what else life has to offer.”
