Former prosecutor Courtney L. Johnson won a seat on the DeKalb County Superior Court bench in Tuesday’s run-off election after a campaign that featured some embarrassing disclosures for the losing candidate.

Johnson, a former senior assistant district attorney in DeKalb County, got 16,134 votes, or 61.4 percent, while challenger Michael L. Rothenberg, a Dunwoody lawyer, got 10,128 votes, or 38.6 percent. The unofficial results were based on 99 percent of precincts reporting.
