Thompson Hine’s local managing partner, Walt A. Linscott, is leaving the Atlanta office he launched nearly six years ago to become the general counsel and corporate secretary of Carestream Health. Russell J. Rogers will replace Linscott as Atlanta managing partner, effective today.

Linscott has worked in-house before. He moved from Thompson Hine’s Cleveland headquarters to Atlanta in 2001 to become general counsel and vice president of law, government and public affairs for Solvay Pharmaceuticals. He returned to Thompson Hine in early 2005 to open the Atlanta office for the firm, which started out with himself and two associates from Solvay. Linscott also headed the firm’s life sciences practice.
