Holland & Knight partner Sara L. Doyle has confirmed she plans to run for the Georgia Court of Appeals.

The 40-year-old civil litigator said she will run for the seat of Judge John H. Ruffin Jr., who is not seeking re-election. Doyle joins five other candidates who have announced they will run-Atlanta lawyer Bruce M. Edenfield; Decatur appellate lawyer Christopher J. McFadden; former Chick-fil-A counsel Perry J. McGuire; state Sen. Michael S. Meyer von Bremen, D-Albany; and Lawrenceville criminal defense lawyer Michael M. Sheffield.
