There were no great legal issues at stake in last week’s NCAA basketball championship, but the top lawyers for the University of Kansas and the University of Memphis were among the 44,000 fans in San Antonio’s Alamodome who witnessed the Jayhawks’ late comeback and overtime victory.
“It was just a tremendous, unbelievable game,” said James P. Pottorff Jr., Kansas’ general counsel. His favorite moment of the game: “Obviously,” Mario Chalmers’ 3-point shot, with barely 2 seconds left, to tie the game.
