Atlanta lawyers at some of the biggest firms in town have donated more than $300,000 to the three remaining Democratic and Republican presidential candidates.
According to a study of Federal Election Commission data from the Atlanta area, Alston & Bird attorneys have given the most-a total of $90,546 to Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and Republican John McCain. Alston also has the largest number of individual donors-a total of 86 Alston lawyers in Atlanta have made a contribution since Jan. 1, 2007.
