In the latest salvo in a battle of celebrated siblings, a lawsuit filed on behalf of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change accuses two of the late civil rights leader’s children of misusing their positions as officers and board members of the center for personal gain.
The chairman of the King Center is Dexter S. King, who was sued last month by his sister and brother, Bernice A. King and Martin Luther King III, over claims that Dexter took money out of the estate of their late mother without authorization and did not provide details about how he is managing their father’s estate.
