Richard L. Haury Jr. has left Morris, Manning & Martin to go in-house for CrossLink Orthopaedics, a longtime client that distributes medical devices. At the beginning of July, he took on a newly created role as general counsel and executive vice president of strategic development. He also became the president of WebOps, a CrossLink affiliate that makes supply chain software for medical device purveyors.
Haury said his career mission is to build the medical device industry in the Southeast, and his desire to get more involved on the business side prompted the move. He has spent his 21-year legal career at Morris Manning, where he started the firm’s medical device and life sciences practice. His focus has been start-up and middle-market companies, particularly those in the medical device business. He started working with CrossLink’s predecessor company, then a small start-up, 19 years ago.
