WASHINGTON AP-A judge decided Thursday that prosecutors could call an extra witness at the corruption trial of Sen. Ted Stevens, delaying a defense case that was to feature testimony by Colin Powell.
The former Secretary of State Colin Powell was on hand at the courthouse Thursday morning to testify for Stevens. But he left after U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan decided to let the government – which had said it was done with its case on Wednesday – continue.
