NEW YORK AP – Arbitron Inc. is fighting back against the states of New Jersey and New York, which are seeking court orders to stop the rollout of its new electronic measurement service for radio ratings known as the Portable People Meter.
Arbitron said Monday that the state of New Jersey has sued the company in the Superior Court of New Jersey for Middlesex County, alleging that its marketing and commercialization of the service violates New Jersey consumer fraud and civil rights laws.
