If there is a bright spot in the auto industry, it’s the business of auctioning used vehicles.
In a symbol of that segment’s strength, a Chicago real estate investment trust recently agreed to acquire eight used-vehicle auction sites nationwide and then lease those properties back to the seller. Two Atlanta attorneys, from Sutherland and Alston & Bird, were hired as local counsel on the sale-leaseback of one of the auction sites, located in south Fulton County.
