ST. LOUIS-With its panoramic view of the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River from its downtown office atop One Metropolitan Square, the city’s tallest building, Bryan Cave is all about St. Louis.
Anheuser-Busch Cos., Emerson Electric Co., Monsanto Co. and Ralcorp Holdings Inc. are all longtime institutional clients of Bryan Cave. Former U.S. Sen. John C. Danforth is a high-profile partner. Partners Walter L. Metcalfe Jr. and Steven D. Korenblat were instrumental in luring the National Football League’s Rams to St. Louis from Los Angeles. Bryan Cave is the biggest and oldest law firm in the city, having been founded in 1873. Bryan Cave was left out of one of the biggest deals involving a St. Louis firm, however. It did not have a role in InBev’s $52 billion takeover of Anheuser-Busch.
